Dental College & Hospital (SDCH) is that
Institute, where we lay great emphasis on
the all round growth and the personality
development of the student, so that they may
take their place as confident and competent
professional in any part of the world and
contribute to the welfare of humanity not
only as professional, but also as
responsible and devoted citizens. |

Here at Seema Dental College &
Hospital, we have the initiative to
educate people of not only Uttarakhand but
at the national-international level. we are
not only limited to under graduation and
graduation programs, we are ahead for
developing the institute with post-graduate
dental courses and up-to University
one day, so that we can achieve the
aim of disseminating awareness of dental
health among the people and providing the
facilities to make dental health and hygiene
accessible to all, in both urban and rural
areas. |

It gives
me immense privilege to be part
of this noble venture of “Dental
Education started by my
father Dr. R. K. Gupta, the
first of its kind in the State
of Uttarakhand.
Myself, who belongs to medical
fraternity, do know the
importance of medical science
for mankind. In present medical
scenario where diseases have
taken new dimensions, we require
good doctors who are capable of
diagnosing the disease and
giving the right treatment to
ease human suffering from
illness.
Usually it has been noticed
that people do not take proper
dental care basically due to
lack of awareness and
non-availability of qualified
dental surgeons.
Here at Seema Dental College &
Hospital, we have taken the
initiative to educate people of
Uttarakhand and around,
regarding dental hygiene. |

Since we believe in
cutting-edge technology, we are
providing the students studying
dentistry with all the latest
equipments, to deliver state of the
art dental care and treatment to a
very large number of patients.
And this indeed is a
matter of great satisfaction to us.
The basic
requirement of providing students with
infrastructure, teaching staff along
with affordable dental treatment with
latest technology to the needy is our
top priority.
We do hope that
initiative taken by us to bring dental
awareness among masses will be
continued by the doctors who have
completed their dental education.
The aim and mission
of this college is to provide the best
dental education to the youth at par
with international standards and not
at all a commercial money spinning
institution.

The Seema
Dental College & Hospital,
governed by the Dr.B.S.Gupta Medical
Charitable Society, Rishikesh, will
make history as the pioneering
institute that paved the way for
dental education in the newly-formed
State of Uttaranchal. Dr.R.K.Gupta,
the Founder-Chairman of the Seema
Dental College & Hospital, is
deeply committed to the mission of
bringing dental healthcare to the
common people, whose lack of dental
health awareness has been the cause
of problems and suffering related
not only to dental health, but also
to other medical problems arising
from the neglect of oral hygiene.
The State of Uttaranchal is lacking
in dental care facilities and there
is a woeful inadequacy of dental
surgeons. There is hardly any
research work being done to keep the
people informed about the latest
developments and technology in the
treatment of dental problems. In
undertaking this project,
Dr.R.K.Gupta has made it his mission
to fill this gap.

Seema Dental
College is being established to turn out
dental surgeons of the first rank. In
affiliation with the Hemwati Nandan
Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar,
Garhwal (Uttaranchal), the college
offers a four year Degree Course in
Bachelors of Dentistry (B.D.S.), to be
followed by a one-year compulsory
rotatory internship. There will be an
annual intake of one hundred students in
one academic session. |

will thus throw its beams far and wide
to show the path of sound health to the
country at large and to the people of
Uttaranchal in particular. |

The Seema
Dental College and Hospital is the
materialized dream of one of the
greatest philanthropist Dr. R.K.
Gupta, Founder, SDCH. He not only
realized this remarkable task of
creating such magnificent Dental
institution but also formed a
dedicated team of efficient workers
who are carrying forward his vision
in an exemplary way. His efforts are
being carried forward by his son Dr.
Amit Gupta who is the Chairman of
the College.
The Seema Dental College and
Hospital is managed and run under
the aegis of Dr. B. S. Gupta Medical
Charitable Society. This is the
first ever and the only recognized
dental college of the State of
Uttarakhand. Under his able
leadership the College is going to
achieve new heights for the time to
come. In a short span of 7 years,
Seema Dental College and Hospital
has accomplished what many
prestigious Institutions in India
have taken over 25 years to achieve.

recognized for the BDS course within the
minimum stipulated period. Shortly the
MDS Course along with Dental Mechanics
and Dental Hygienist course is going to
start. |
